The US CFTC signs a memorandum of understanding with the National Hockey League to jointly uphold the integrity of the prediction market.
Foresight News reported that the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the National Hockey League (NHL) have officially signed a memorandum of understanding. Both parties will share information and coordinate efforts to offer professional hockey and related event prediction markets on exchanges regulated by the CFTC, aiming to maintain fairness and transparency within the prediction markets.
According to the terms of the memorandum, the CFTC and NHL will each appoint dedicated representatives for regular communication, with a focus on preventing insider trading, fraud, and other forms of market abuse. The NHL also stated that it has established a multi-layered market monitoring mechanism and will collaborate with partners to enhance integrity assurance efforts.
