US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant said on Thursday that the two countries are about to reach an agreement to end the war. Nikkei futures on the Singapore Exchange rose 1.9% to 65,770 points. Investors are closely watching developments in the Middle East and their impact on energy prices. The Nikkei Index fell 0.5% on Thursday to 64,693.12 points.
