Standard Chartered reaffirms long-term price target for Ethereum at $40,000
ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, analysts from Standard Chartered Bank stated in a report on Thursday that Ethereum’s current price has not yet reflected the growth of its network transaction activity and the increase in total value locked (TVL) in decentralized finance (DeFi). They reiterated their year-end price target of $4,000 for Ethereum and a price target of $40,000 by the end of this decade.
The institution said that Ethereum has already established a dominant position in the stablecoin and tokenized assets sectors and is expected to benefit from Wall Street’s ongoing migration to digital asset infrastructure. The report also pointed out that if real world assets (RWA) grow 50-fold over the next few years, both the number of on-chain transactions and the total value locked on Ethereum may continue to reach new highs.
