Australian electrical workers threaten to strike at BHP's iron ore port
Golden Ten Data, May 29 — A union organization stated on Friday that electrical workers at BHP’s Port Hedland bulk export terminal in Western Australia may go on strike on June 30, which marks the end of the current fiscal year. “BHP must pay attention, and Tim Day must realize that he needs to negotiate with us,” said union leader Adam Woodge. The Tim Day he referred to is the head of the mining giant’s iron ore operations in Western Australia.
