Data: Early physical bitcoin Casascius Coin unsealed, 25 BTC assets transferred
According to ChainCatcher, monitored by Galaxy Research, a physical Casascius Bitcoin minted between 2011 and 2013 (denomination: 25 BTC, approximately 1.78 million US dollars) had its private key stripped and was extracted on-chain.
Casascius Coin is an early physical collectible of Bitcoin. It contains a genuine BTC private key sealed inside, and the holder can extract the assets after peeling off the tamper-evident hologram sticker. This series was discontinued in 2013. Currently, tens of thousands of BTC remain sealed in unopened physical Casascius coins.
