Morph predicts AI agents will impact $500 billions in transactions by 2028

According to "The Agentic Economy" report published by Morph, it is expected that by 2028, the global gross merchandise value influenced by AI agents will exceed $50 billion. The report states that AI is evolving from a content generation tool to an economic participant capable of completing transactions. The Agentic Commerce infrastructure is formed around four aspects: identity, authorization, checkout, and settlement, with relevant technical standards including MCP, AP2, ACP, UCP, Visa Trusted Agent Protocol, ERC-8004, and x402. Morph predicts that by 2028, commercial stablecoin payments initiated by AI agents will surpass those of manual operations by the number of transactions, and 0.1% of US households will regularly authorize AI agents to complete purchases.
