US Stocks Movement | Meta rises 2.5% after launching paid AI agent for merchants

Glonghui, June 4th|Meta Platforms rose 2.5% to $638.7. On the news front, Meta launched the Meta Business Agent, an artificial intelligence (AI) agent for merchants, to assist businesses with customer inquiries, bookings, and sales via WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram. Business Agent can respond to customers according to the merchant’s tone, handle common questions, screen potential clients, and transfer more complex queries to human staff when needed. Business Agent is free to use initially, with a paid subscription option planned in the coming months. In addition, Meta is considering a maximum price of $200 per month for its new OpenClaw AI tool for general consumers. The Hatch feature covers a wide range of tasks: it can write custom software on demand, create calendar events for users, and send emails on their behalf.
