Golden Ten Data Futures, June 4 — The Baltic Dry Index fell for the fifth consecutive trading day on Thursday, due to weaker rates for Capesize and Panamax vessels. The Baltic Dry Index dropped by 87 points, or 2.78%, to 3,037 points compared to the previous trading day. The Capesize Index decreased by 213 points, or 4.05%, to 5,040 points. Average daily earnings for Capesize vessels dropped by $1,934, reaching $42,204. The Panamax Index fell by 36 points to 2,254 points. Average daily earnings for Panamax vessels declined by $322 to $20,285. The Supramax Index rose by 1 point to reach 1,584 points.
