Japan’s Finance Minister: Funding for food consumption tax relief will not rely on new bond issuance.

Satsuki Katayama told reporters that a working group is studying various funding options, including reviewing redundant subsidies and tax measures, as well as utilizing non-tax revenues; however, she added that no final decision has been made yet. Satsuki Katayama also stated that the government is prepared to respond appropriately to exchange rate fluctuations whenever necessary.
