Kioxia President: Current AI demand is completely different from the past IT bubble, shifting from spot trading to long-term contracts spanning multiple years
According to Odaily, Kioxia President Hayasaka stated in an interview that the special demand driven by AI is “fundamentally different from the past IT bubble.” As the market environment has shifted drastically from the previous spot trading-centric model, major IT enterprises operating data centers are consecutively expressing long-term contract intentions spanning multiple years, which has become an opportunity to establish a solid business foundation.
Note: Kioxia is the world’s third-largest NAND manufacturer, second only to Samsung Storage and SK hynix, with a current market capitalization of 178 billion USD.
