Bitget CEO explains Bitget RWA strategy in detail and reveals plans to further expand asset classes
ChainCatcher reports that Bitget CEO Gracy Chen recently gave a detailed overview of Bitget's strategic approach to the tokenized assets sector during an online AMA titled "The Future of RWA" hosted by Reality. She revealed that, since the introduction of the panoramic exchange (UEX) strategy in early 2025, Bitget has been accelerating its evolution from a traditional crypto exchange into a platform covering all asset categories. During a meeting with BlackRock's COO, she proposed the "10% Vision": by 2030, it is anticipated that roughly 10% of global financial assets will exist in tokenized form. Currently, the penetration rate of tokenized stocks is only 0.01%, leaving significant growth potential in traditional financial markets. Reality has been built based on this trend.
Gracy summarized "Why Now" as the convergence of five major trends: stablecoins have become global settlement channels, especially driving demand for dollar-denominated investment products in regions with weak fiat currencies; users’ willingness for diversified asset allocation is surging; blockchain performance, custody solutions, compliance, and market maker ecosystems are maturing; regulatory clarity is emerging in the US, Europe, and Hong Kong; and the market's demand for capital efficiency is driving new liquidity in tokenized assets.
Regarding the pain points of the tokenized stock market, Gracy stated that some current issuers tend to cause deviations between token prices and underlying asset prices when handling company actions such as distributions or stock splits. The Reality platform is focused on solving this problem by strictly aligning asset net value (NAV) and supporting mapping of dividends and corporate actions, thereby improving the consistency between tokenized assets and their actual underlying assets. She also revealed that Bitget will continue to expand asset categories and further enhance the UEX panoramic exchange ecosystem.
