Jinse Finance reported on June 9 that, according to crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett, sources familiar with relevant meetings revealed that U.S. government officials will meet with representatives from law enforcement agencies at the White House on Wednesday as part of ongoing coordination efforts to address concerns regarding certain provisions of the Clarity Act. Among them, the developer protection clause derived from the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act is considered likely to make it more difficult to combat illicit financial activities. This issue, along with controversies surrounding potential conflicts of interest (Ethics), remains one of the main obstacles that must be resolved before the bill is submitted to a full Senate vote. Several Democratic lawmakers have stated that, unless law enforcement agencies confirm that their concerns are fully addressed, they will not support the bill. The convening of this meeting comes as the crypto industry is also stepping up efforts to win support for the bill from lawmakers and law enforcement agencies. Related activities include holding Town Hall meetings and organizing Fly-in lobbying events to Washington, with participants including several former law enforcement officers now working in the crypto industry.
