Perplexity CEO: Regardless of Anthropic and OpenAI’s IPO progress, the company plans to go public in 2028

In an interview aired on Tuesday, Srinivas said: “Our listing plan was originally set for 2028 and has nothing to do with these two companies. Currently, this plan remains unchanged.” Srinivas had previously stated that the company had no intention of going public before 2028; this statement further clarified the timeline for going public. In the interview, Srinivas admitted: “If these companies' listings underperform, it will inevitably trigger a chain reaction—there’s no doubt about that. The listing performance of SpaceX this week will also serve as an important leading indicator for evaluating the listing prospects of Anthropic and OpenAI.”
