Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Asset unfreezing and war reparations are priorities in the memorandum of understanding
Odaily reported that Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei stated that the details of the Iran-US ceasefire memorandum of understanding will be published soon. The signing methods and related mechanisms of the memorandum will be decided and officially announced today or tomorrow. Baghaei added that the unfreezing of Iran's frozen assets and war reparations are two important economic priorities within the memorandum, and the United States has promised to fulfill these commitments.
Iran believes that access to Iranian assets is its legitimate right and firmly continues to demand compensation for the losses caused by this illegal war. According to the memorandum of understanding, the United States must lift all primary and secondary sanctions, relevant UN Security Council resolutions, and International Atomic Energy Agency related sanctions. The details of these nuclear and economic matters will be determined within 60 days after the final agreement is signed. Additionally, with the signing of the memorandum on the 19th, all sales restrictions on Iranian oil, oil derivatives, and petrochemical products will be immediately lifted. (CCTV)
