Falconio explained that the Federal Reserve holding rates steady in 2026 will allow policymakers to assess "economic growth that is still struggling to be maintained," as well as how the labor market will develop. "I think they will sit tight, exercise the options they have, wait and see, and only make changes once the data comes out, probably in the first or second quarter of 2027," she said.
