LG Innotek plans to further expand production of FCBGA substrates

Golden Ten Data reported on June 17 that Cho Ji-tae, Head of Packaging Solutions Business Division at LG Innotek, stated on the 16th that the company will invest 1 trillion won to build a semiconductor substrate plant in Vietnam. This move marks the first phase of investment to expand its packaging substrate business division. The company is also in talks with clients regarding a second phase of investment to increase FCBGA production capacity for AI servers. "The discussions have made substantial progress and we will soon be able to announce the scale," he said. In addition, LG Innotek plans to further expand production at its factory in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea. Beyond the previously announced investment of 600 billion won, the company also plans to continue expanding FCBGA production capacity according to output agreed upon with customers.
