According to Semiconductor-Today, Coherent plans to obtain up to 50 million US dollars in funding under the US CHIPS and Science Act to expand its AI photonic chip production capacity, and is cooperating with NVIDIA to promote AI data center technology upgrades. NVIDIA previously announced a 2 billion US dollar investment in Coherent.
