According to data from Epex Spot, the average price of the German day-ahead electricity contract is 140 euros per megawatt-hour, while the price during the evening peak has risen above 400 euros. Bloomberg's model forecasts indicate that at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Germany's wind power generation is expected to drop to a low of 1.5 gigawatts. This period coincides with peak evening electricity demand, as well as the phase when solar power generation gradually diminishes.
