Tempo launches MPP Credits, supporting multiple methods for AI Agent top-ups and payments
Foresight News reports that payment public chain Tempo has launched MPP Credits, allowing developers to directly top up their AI Agent accounts using credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay to pay for Machine Payments Protocol service fees, without needing to transfer stablecoins into a Tempo wallet first. After purchase, MPP Credits are stored in the Tempo wallet and can be used across all services supporting MPP, with merchants settling in real-time in USDC.e on Tempo. This feature is supported by licensed payment service provider Coinflow. Credits are prepaid, non-refundable, and restricted to MPP services only.
MPP is an open machine payments standard jointly developed by Stripe and Tempo, allowing AI Agents to autonomously pay for API services such as LLM inference, computing power, and data.
