South Korea considers separate measures for leveraged ETFs of Samsung and SK Hynix
Lee Chan-jin, Director of South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service, stated that since retail investors’ demand for high-risk products shows no sign of cooling, financial regulators are considering implementing separate stabilization measures for single-stock leveraged ETFs. In a press conference on Monday, Lee said that the side effects of single-stock leveraged ETFs are growing increasingly severe. Lee also noted that the Financial Supervisory Service is investigating the failure of Mirae Asset's SpaceX IPO stock allocation, aiming to prevent similar issues in the future and to protect investors’ rights.
