Tesla fatal crash triggers investigation by U.S. auto safety agency

The vehicle crashed into a residence last Friday night, resulting in the death of a person inside the house. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Monday that it will investigate a crash involving a Tesla Model 3 near Houston, Texas. According to a statement from the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the Tesla driver told police that the vehicle left the roadway, “high-speed crashed into the brick residence,” and struck a woman inside. The woman later died from injuries sustained in the accident.
