The Governor of the Bank of Canada issues a warning, stating that excessive investment in the United States poses a global financial risk.
Speaking in Paris, he pointed out, "A large inflow of capital into the United States could once again be misallocated, pushing up valuations in the stock and credit markets and laying the groundwork for painful market adjustments... These capital flows could reverse suddenly. In any case, the resulting pressure might spill over beyond the United States."
