Lightning Labs has released Taproot Assets v0.8 and the accompanying SDK, enabling developers to integrate stablecoin functionality on the Bitcoin network and adding backup and recovery, multi-asset liquidity control, and faster proof verification features. Lightning Labs stated that the multi-asset future of Bitcoin has arrived and encourages developers to start building.
