Two major whales open new $8.3 million MU short positions, possibly anticipating a further decline in stock price after earnings report
Glonghui, June 24|According to Hyperinsight monitoring, with Micron's earnings report approaching, trading activity for the MU contract on the Hyperliquid platform has surged, with a 24-hour trading volume of approximately $459 million and total open interest valued at $195 million. According to BlockBeats' on-chain monitoring, Hyperinsight data shows that the contract price hit around $1,030 this morning before rebounding to $1,091. Overnight and this morning, two major on-chain short-selling whales successively opened MU short positions, with a combined scale reaching $8.3 million and an average entry price of about $1,071. They are currently experiencing slight unrealized losses, with the latest liquidation price set at $1,470. It is reported that these two addresses collectively hold $55.5 million in various U.S. equity short positions, with one of the addresses belonging to the well-known trader CBB.
