Blockworks co-founder: Dual equity token structures are infeasible, issuers must choose between equity and tokens
Odaily reported that Blockworks co-founder Mippo posted on X stating that he no longer believes dual equity-token structures are feasible. Mippo highlighted that there are very few successful cases of this structure and their number is decreasing. His basic assessment is that such structures will persist, but investors will demand increasingly larger discounts due to uncertainty. Mippo questioned why investors should choose products that could be "rugged" at any moment due to countless edge cases and lack legal protection.
Mippo believes that issuers currently must either immediately make a choice between equity or token, or risk gradually losing value.
