Grayscale Research Director Suggests Strategy to Sell Over $3 Billion Worth of Bitcoin to Improve Capital Structure and Restore Market Confidence
BlockBeats News, June 28th, Grayscale Research Director of Research, Zach Pandl, stated that rather than increasing the STRC preferred stock dividend yield by 50 basis points, it would be better to sell over $3 billion worth of Bitcoin to meet cash payment obligations and restore market confidence.
Spot On Chain analysis noted that as an institutional researcher, Zach Pandl's public suggestion for Strategy to sell over $3 billion worth of BTC carries a significant signaling effect. If Strategy ultimately proceeds with a large-scale sell-off, it will bring considerable selling pressure to the market and may undermine the narrative of corporate Bitcoin accumulation.
This viewpoint also reflects the market's concerns about Strategy's capital structure and the sustainability of its heavily Bitcoin-reliant balance sheet. Subsequently, it is necessary to monitor Strategy's official response and whether any actual Bitcoin transfers will occur from its on-chain wallets.
