Samsung and SK Group are expected to announce an investment plan of up to 20 trillion Korean Won.

The report stated that Samsung and SK Hynix are expected to each build 4 to 5 semiconductor factories in the Gwangju region. The report also added that Samsung plans to build a chip packaging plant in South Chungcheong Province, while SK Hynix will expand its NAND factory in North Chungcheong Province.
