According to Documenting Bitcoin, the Bitcoin network has successfully mined a block using the Stratum V2 protocol for the first time. This protocol allows miners to independently construct block templates and select which transactions to include, reducing mining pools’ control over transaction packaging and enhancing decentralization and censorship resistance in Bitcoin mining.
