Golden Ten Data reported on June 30 that according to the SEMI report, global 300mm memory wafer fab equipment investment is expected to surpass the $50 billion mark for the first time in 2026, reaching $52 billion, a year-on-year increase of 29%. In terms of breakdown, DRAM equipment spending will account for $37 billion, representing 71% of the total, with a year-on-year increase of 29%; NAND equipment spending will also see a nearly parallel year-on-year increase of 28%, reaching $14 billion. Global 300mm memory wafer fab equipment investment is expected to grow another 11% in 2027, reaching $57 billion; from 2024 to 2029, the overall CAGR for these six years is estimated at +19%, indicating long-term robust capacity expansion.
