TRON Nile testnet launches quantum-resistant upgrade
Odaily reported that the TRON Nile testnet has launched a quantum-resistant upgrade and released the mandatory upgrade version GreatVoyage-v4.8.2-PQ1-build1. This version introduces post-quantum signature capabilities for the first time, supporting two signature algorithms: Falcon-512 and ML-DSA-44, further advancing TRON's technical exploration and capability verification in the field of quantum-resistant security.
According to the official statement, these capabilities can be applied to transaction signatures, SR block signatures, P2P relay node handshakes, and TVM contract signature verification scenarios. TRON reminds developers who have already deployed Nile testnet nodes to complete the version upgrade as soon as possible. At the same time, the related new features must be approved through proposal voting before they can officially take effect on the Nile testnet; enabling the function on the testnet does not mean the mainnet will be updated simultaneously.
