Rivian raises delivery outlook as electric vehicle sales exceed expectations

The company delivered 12,194 electric vehicles in the second quarter, surpassing the expected 10,600 units, and produced 12,613 vehicles. Rivian recently began selling its latest model, the R2 SUV, which is widely seen as key to Rivian ultimately achieving profitability. The initial R2 models are priced at nearly $58,000, about $13,000 higher than the entry-level version Rivian says will be launched by the end of next year.
