According to The Defiant, the ENS DAO Public Goods Working Group has officially closed after four and a half years of operation. The head of the working group, Simona Pop, announced the news on platform X. In its final round of funding, the working group provided 450,000 USDC and 72.5 ETH—approximately 123,000 US dollars—to projects such as Vyper, Argot Collective, and Remix Labs. Of this, strategic funding totaled 375,000 USDC, co-funded with the Ethereum Foundation at a roughly 1:1.2 ratio. Simona Pop stated that ENS has one of the largest treasuries in crypto and that closing the working group meant missing the opportunity to become what Vitalik Buterin calls an “ecosystem hero.”
