Analyst: SK Hynix is expected to benefit from accelerated AI investment in the second half of the year
According to Odaily, KB Securities analysts including Jeff Kim stated that SK Hynix is expected to benefit in the second half of the year from accelerating AI infrastructure investments, as well as the storage chip supply shortage anticipated to persist until the end of 2028. The analysts said: “Driven by the continued expansion of AI-related investments, the upward trend in SK Hynix’s profitability and share price is far from over.”
KB Securities expects global AI investment to reach $800 billion by 2026, $1.1 trillion by 2027, and $1.5 trillion by 2028. KB has raised its forecast for SK Hynix’s operating profit in 2026 by 3.6% to 29 trillion KRW.
