Although international gold prices have undergone several consecutive months of adjustment, central banks around the world remain determined to increase their gold holdings. A report released by the World Gold Council (WGC) on Thursday shows that in May 2026, global central banks' official gold reserves increased by a net 41 tonnes, rebounding compared to April. The buying power is still concentrated among emerging market economies such as Poland, China, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.
