Strategy sells $216 million worth of bitcoin, marking a major step forward in financing reform

Glonghui, July 6th｜Strategy Inc. sold Bitcoin worth $216 million last week, marking the company’s first major move since announcing recent financing reforms. Previously, both Bitcoin and the company’s own stock price had experienced prolonged declines. This transaction is the company’s largest sale of Bitcoin since it began accumulating its position in 2020 and marks the third sale in its history. Strategy’s stock price fell by about 3% in pre-market trading on Monday, while Bitcoin dropped 1.3%. Meanwhile, an announcement released on Monday stated that Strategy recorded $8.32 billion in digital asset losses in the three months ending June 30.
