On July 7, an LNG transport vessel owned by Nakilat was struck by a projectile near the coast of Oman, resulting in a fire on board. An alert issued by EOS Risk Group classified the incident as a drone or missile attack. Vessel tracking data showed that the Al Rekayyat had its transponder turned off at the time of the incident. The UK Maritime Trade Operations office issued an alert, and both QatarEnergy and Nakilat did not respond to requests for comment.
