Tether will issue USDT on the Bitcoin network via the RGB protocol, with UTEXO responsible for commercialization

Tether is preparing to natively issue USDT on the Bitcoin network based on the RGB v0.11.1 protocol, with UTEXO responsible for commercial issuance and distribution. Viktor Ihnatiuk, co-founder of UTEXO, stated that the company has received support from Tether and is responsible for facilitating the launch of Bitcoin-native USDT. The RGB protocol uses client-side validation combined with the Lightning Network to achieve instant, low-cost, and private USDT transactions. In the future, users will be able to hold USDT directly through native Bitcoin addresses and send/receive it using Lightning Network wallets that support RGB. UTEXO is deeply integrated with Tether, allowing users to convert USDT across different public blockchains via its cross-chain bridge.
