Golden Ten Data, July 7 — According to a reputable local media outlet in Nigeria, the largest lithium ore processing plant (classified as raw ore processing by local media) in the West African region has officially commenced operations in Nasarawa State. The operator of the plant is Chinese-owned Diamond Energy Group. The plant has a daily processing capacity of 6,000 tons of lithium ore, with local media reporting an annual capacity of 3 million tons, equivalent to about 30,000 tons of lithium carbonate equivalent. According to sources close to Jiuling Lithium and Tianhua New Energy, the shareholders behind Diamond Energy Group are Jiangxi Jiuling Lithium Co., Ltd. and Suzhou Tianhua New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., each holding a 50% stake.
