Frank J. Russo, independent gubernatorial candidate in Florida, accepts cryptocurrency donations
Foresight News reports, according to The Street, that independent Florida gubernatorial candidate Frank J. Russo has announced he will accept cryptocurrency campaign donations, becoming the first candidate in the state’s 2026 gubernatorial election to do so. All crypto donations will comply with current federal and state campaign finance laws.
Russo previously proposed at the Consensus conference a plan to establish Florida as a leader in blockchain and digital asset investment, aiming to attract blockchain companies, fintech startups, and Web3 entrepreneurs, and to direct state-level investment toward emerging technology sectors.
