Intel confirms a price increase for some consumer and server CPUs

Odaily reports, according to market news: Intel has confirmed it has raised prices on some consumer and server CPUs, citing increased supply chain costs and demand outstripping supply. Price increases for consumer processors range between $30 and $50, while data center products have risen by several hundred to even over a thousand dollars.

Investment bank Wedbush believes that Intel still has the ability to implement price hikes without affecting market demand. Wedbush analyst Matt Bryson wrote in a client report: "Given the continued shortage of server CPU supply, we believe Intel still has room to raise prices without impacting demand."
