AEON supports the national QR standard of Bolivia, expanding its AI agent local currency settlement network
ChainCatcher reports that the AI Agent economic settlement protocol AEON has announced support for the unified real-time payment standard OpenBCB launched by the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB), enabling rapid QR-code settlements between crypto-assets and the local Boliviano (BOB) currency.
This integration provides a settlement channel for programmatic payments by AI Agents in the local real economy. As the AEON settlement network continues to expand its payment infrastructure in Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America, and other regions around the world, it is gradually broadening the geographic coverage for AI Agents to conduct both cross-border and local settlements.
