Odaily reports that HSBC stated the strengthening prices of storage chips may continue to drive Samsung Electronics to record-breaking performance. Analysts Ricky Seo and Han Kil Chang forecast that, propelled by a 20% increase in sales, Samsung Electronics' operating profit in the third quarter will increase by 25% quarter-on-quarter. Contributing factors include: DRAM and NAND chip prices are expected to rise by 15%, OLED panel demand is entering a peak season as new foldable smartphones are launched, and smartphone profit margins are recovering.

HSBC's analysts said that against the backdrop of cloud service providers being unlikely to slow their computing power expansion in the short term, Samsung Electronics' operating profit this year may surge more than eightfold, reaching 376 trillion Korean won, and further grow by 37% next year. HSBC maintains its buy rating and a target price of 450 thousand Korean won. (Golden Ten Data)
