Glonghui, July 10 — CVS Health and its subsidiary Omnicare have agreed to pay $440 million to the US Department of Justice to settle a lawsuit accusing the senior care pharmacy of improperly charging the federal government through false prescription drug claims. According to filings in US Bankruptcy Court, as part of the settlement, CVS will pay $130 million within two weeks, while the remaining amount must be paid by March 15, 2028. A CVS spokesperson stated that these agreements do not constitute an admission of liability or wrongdoing, but are intended to avoid the time and costs associated with further litigation.
