This data was mainly driven by a large-scale sell-off of South Korean tech stocks, leading to overall portfolio losses in emerging economies for the second consecutive month. According to a monthly report released by the International Institute of Finance (IIF) on Friday, foreign investors withdrew $30.5 billion from South Korea's stock market, marking the largest outflow in more than 25 years. The report shows a clear divergence between equity and bond market flows: although the overall portfolio flows turned into a net outflow of $17.8 billion, the bond market still attracted $28.3 billion in funds last month.
