Blockstream co-founder Adam Back stated that BIP 110 is essentially an attempt to monitor others’ behavior, which would erode Bitcoin’s decentralization, security, and neutrality, conflicting with the spirit of Bitcoin. Michael Saylor reposted and noted that BIP 110 turns the spam controversy into a consensus change, causing some transactions that are currently valid and have paid transaction fees to become invalid, which is a dangerous precedent.
