Nvidia temporarily abandons TSMC's COUPE technology solution and shifts to Tower Semiconductor's silicon photonics platform
According to Odaily, sources have revealed that NVIDIA has decided to temporarily abandon the use of TSMC's COUPE technology solution. NVIDIA's previous "Plan A" was based on TSMC's COUPE Co-Packaged Optics platform, utilizing 8-wavelength DWDM and approximately 50 to 64G NRZ modulation technology. The latest "Plan B" has shifted to Tower Semiconductor's silicon photonics platform, adopting 16-wavelength DWDM as well as 200G/400G PAM4 modulation solutions.
