Golden Ten Data, July 14 — When asked how to make decisions at a crossroads based on an inflation report, given that data often contains significant noise, Federal Reserve Governor Waller stated that indeed, every dataset has noise, but the situation over the past few months has been worse than expected. "Basically, if the data has been rising for nearly six months, I take that as a signal. The next set of data, whichever direction it goes, will also provide a useful signal."
