Glonhui July 14th|SemiAnalysis, a top research institution focused on semiconductors and AI infrastructure, released its report "Be Greedy When Others Are Fearful: SK hynix's DRAM Pricing and Earnings Remain Strong," indicating that SK hynix's DRAM earnings in the second quarter of 2026 and beyond will remain robust. The report states that despite some recent market noise and pricing methodology revisions, the research team remains positively optimistic about SK hynix's 2Q26 DRAM performance. The institution forecasts: DRAM average selling price (ASP) will see a significant quarter-on-quarter increase of approximately 45%; DRAM operating profit is expected to reach around 55 trillion Korean won; This strong growth is primarily driven by a dramatic quarter-on-quarter surge of about 60% in commodity DRAM pricing, while HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) prices showed only low single-digit changes within the quarter (meaning they were relatively stable or slightly up). Analysts pointed out that while they fully understand investors' recent concerns about memory sector volatility, they still believe that SK hynix and other leading memory companies currently offer some of the best risk-reward opportunities in the semiconductor sector, especially after a period of adjustment.
