Golden Ten Data reported on July 14 that on Tuesday, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung called for raising the country's potential growth rate to 3% by stabilizing prices and fostering innovative growth drivers. Lee Jae-myung made this request during a cabinet meeting, mentioning the strong growth in exports in the first half of the year, especially in the semiconductor industry. He stated: "Given the excellent export performance and the increase in capital investment, several forecasts already indicate that this year's real growth rate will reach 3%." He added: "We must do our utmost to stabilize prices and the real estate market, while cultivating 'overwhelming advantages' and game-changing growth engines, so as to gradually raise the potential growth rate to 3%." He urged cabinet members to work together to ensure that this year marks a transformative step toward South Korea achieving the goals of "a 3% potential growth rate, being one of the world's four major trade powers, and a per capita income of $50,000."
