According to reports, HP's Indian subsidiary has been fined 1.2687 billion rupees for allegedly manipulating bids and creating a price coordination scheme in government procurement projects. The case involves multiple procurement tenders on India's Government e-Marketplace electronic procurement platform. A CCI investigation determined that from 2017 to 2020, HP India coordinated with certain authorized distributors to participate in government procurement projects, involving products such as personal computers and printing supplies, including laptops, desktops, workstations, printer cartridges, and toners.
